Art in the Burbs coming up!

PDX Collective Sale and the rush begins...

I have no other reason to post the above picture other than the fact that I'm missing my beautiful daughter (pictured in my lovely hat - isn't she gorgeous!?) and this is one of my favorite hats.....

BUT I do have a tidbit of juicy information while I have your attention. So there's an AWESOME sale this weekend that I have to share. It's called the PDX Collective Sale and it's basically a bunch of awesome shops that get together and have a giant sale in a building downtown. Last year I went and walked away with a $400 jacket for 20 bucks....seriously! Busiest Weekend of the Year Coming Up!

Next week is going to be insane crazy with three shows all crammed into one week...ack!

First up on Thursday December 5th is the Madeleine Market (details to the right in Where to Find Me). Love this show...there's a tree lighting...yummy baked goods (why are they always so much better at schools and churches??) and WINE! Yay!

Second one on Saturday December 7th is the Winter Faire at Cedarwood Elementary. This is my first time at this show and I've heard gobs of great things so I'm super excited to have some fresh meat to add to my schedule...woohoo!

Last, but not least, Sunday December 8th is one of my favorite shows next to Crafty Wonderland....the infamous Laurelhurst Winter Artisan Bazaar. And yes, that's my lovely on the picture below. Not just one lovely, but two - the hat and my daughter. : ) Don't plan on just spending an hour here...it's a big daddy. Give yourself at least a couple hours to peruse the bazillion wonderful things to be found here. The kids make fabulous things as well at this show by the way.....

 

On a totally different note I had a show at a cute little school basically in the middle of the most beautiful nowhere I've seen in a while. Think rolling hills and farmland as far as the eye can see. I was lucky enough to meet a wonderful lady who proceeded to purchase an armload of hats to sell at the tree farm she and her hubby own - Shively Barn (30450 Sw Grabel Rd Hillsboro, Oregon 97123). I did a little online browsing this morning and holy cow this place looks beautiful! Take a look for yourself at the wedding shots that were taken here and lets cross our fingers they get a website of their own in the near future so we can see some more beauties of this place! In the meantime the opening day for trees is this weekend so if you're in need of some Christmas sooner rather than later go check it out. And stop by Ponzi Historic Estate or Ardiri Vineyards while you're at it since they're pretty much right around the corner.

 But I also have a very talented photographer to capture how fabulous my creations look on her!

  If anyone is interested Splendid Photography is absolutely, well, splendid...ha!

Melanie can work wonders and she's doing our family pictures too so it's not just limited to product shots peeps!

 

Buckman Art Show and Sell

So I know I'm usually done with selling my wares by now but I couldn't resist giving the Buckman Art Show and Sell a try since they moved the date up to February this year. Crossing my fingers I can whip up enough product to sell by then so I can take a relaxing trip to Napa Valley with husband afterward. Wish me luck!

Art in the Burbs Take Two!

This is it - the last one for the season!

Last one for the season folks! This Sunday in Sellwood woohoo! Custom orders are shipping out by the end of next week so now's the time to get them placed if you want to keep your sweetie warm for Christmas. After this one I'm going to take some much needed time off to enjoy what's left of the year with my family. Yay for cookie baking and relaxing by the fire with my hubby!

I can't believe it's here already!!!! I'm so excited it's not even funny! Come see me at the mother of all Portland craft shows this weekend...CRAFTY WONDERLAND!!! If you have any shopping left to do or you haven't even started yet this is the place to go. With over 200 artists there's bound to be something for everyone on your list....including you. : )

I'm excited to be at the Duniway Holiday Boutique this Friday...absolutely gorgeous neighborhood so if you choose to come visit me make sure to bring your walking shoes to take a stroll if it's not raining.

Two shows to get your holiday shopping started!

First, the PDX Craft Holiday Marketplace...loads of really great artisans and right down the street from bubble tea and bahn mi!!!

Second, an intimate affair with wine tasting to boot! Come see me along with B Hive Designs (yes, I have about twenty of her adorable shirts and a few of her skirts as well - seriously, the most comfortable things I own), Amy Olson Jewelry (delicate and completely gorgeous), Mimi Muse Designs (I have a couple of her prints lining my bedroom wall thank you very much!), and Hummingbird Hoops (with these child bearing hips I might just have to try these out!).
